Rainbow Falls/Youth Day Cleanup

PLEASE Sign up by sending us an email

with your name & phone number

(so we need to know how much food & supplies to bring)

We will be cleaning up the Rainbow Falls OHV Riding Area (just north of Woodland Park) with local youth groups and children of ALL AGES. We encourage families, youth groups, etc. to come camp in the free, dispersed camping spots in the area for the weekend, and then join the cleanup on Saturday. Sites are not reserved, so please arrive early (Friday is best) to find a site that will suit your needs.

The area has both easily accessible sites along the side road, and other sites further into the riding area. Fishing and non-motorized boating is available nearby at Manitou Lake. If you have an OHV please bring it as there are many areas that we would like to get to that are inaccessible to regular vehicles.

9:00am - Arrival & Sign In at Base Camp (directions below)

Safety Briefing to follow, and break into cleanup groups

LUNCH: PROVIDED, will be Taco/Nacho Bar

BRING:  Refillable water bottle, gloves, wear sunscreen, a coat, long pants & STURDY shoes/boots

PROVIDED:  water, gloves (if needed), grabbers, trash bag

BASE CAMP/RAINBOW FALLS OHV AREA

Take Hwy 67 NORTH from Woodland Park towards Deckers 11 miles. Turn RIGHT on Rainbow Falls Rd. Turn right into the main parking lot and we will be along the fence with all the equipment

We are also working on reducing the use of single use cups & plastic water bottles so we ask that you bring a refillable water bottle.  We will have water to refill them and make drinks at lunch.  If you do not have one, we will have bottles of water that can be labeled and reused for the day.

FURRY FRIENDS - We love our 4 legged volunteers, but with all of the food, people, and other 4 legged volunteers, especially at Base Camp, it can be a bit much for them. Therefore, we now would prefer they stay home or at least be safely secured while at Base Camp. Please make sure to also bring a leash/tieout and water bowl..
